Third Paper

I have no idea who I am going to try to write like.

I kind of want to write like Jackson. The imagery and language she used really helped to develop her story. I think that it will be challenging to write like Jackson but it's worth a try. I really liked her story "The Lottery", and I felt like after reading the first page I actually wanted to keep reading. In order to write like her I feel like I wouldn't really develop the characters. I have to look up other stories to see if that's how all her writing is.

I really liked Poe as well but I think all of his stuff is too dark for me to write about. His style of writing is interesting but I feel like all of his poems are dark.

Either way I'm excited to write this third paper because I think it will be really cool to try to imitate someones writing style.

Easter

I am so excited about Easter breakkkk-- I am so over school!!!!

This whole semester I have been trying to figure out why I have been missing so classes in the morning to find out-- A CERTAIN SOMEBODY HAS BEEN TURNING MY ALARM OFF.

This is just extremely frustrating because attendance in my classes counts for a lot.

Pretty much woke up in an awful mood and its sucks pretty bad.

My brother and sister come home today :-) that is THE only thing I'm excited about. I have not seen either of them in a long time so it will be nice to hang out with everyone.

Vacation

I am so excited for summer.
I have been working a lot. a lot. a lot.
So I decided I have lived here pretty much my whole life and I don't know how to surf.
SOOOO what I'm buying a surfboard-- only problem
I can't surf-- I meaaaan eventually im sure ill be able to but as of right now. Not so much.
Chances of me makin a fool of myself this summer on it = likely.

There was SO much going on this weekend and I did nothing. Didnt go to anything exciting, little unfortuante.

We have a post that we have to do and I forgot what is was. not so good. not good at all.

I have to get a passport tomorrow :-) I'm going to Canada this summer to see some family friends. Should be intresting to say the least. I want to travel everywhere. true story.

I got a B+ on my paper and this makes me SO happy because I needed to do well in all my classes this semster or else... god knows.

Third Eye Blind

So this week all I have been looking foward to is seeing the third eye blind show. unfortunatley it wa snot that great of a show. I really felt like they didnt show their fans support. As much as they talked about how thankful they were for having such a big crowd, the played for a max of an hour maybe a little longer. They could have really dragged the show out and gotten the crowd more involved. Oh and the thing that REALLY made me mad was the fact that they didn't scan tickets. So people were photocopying tickets and getting in for free. Unlike me who paid $30 for a two hour show. Really awesome?-- not really.

This week is Greek Week. I hope it will be fun but it's going to be really busy. I have to make sure I stay on top of my school work rather than participating in random events. The fact like I have 5 weeks of school left is reallllllly catching up to me. I need to make good grades or I pretty much will suck at lifeee. Thats pretty much all I have to say. and for me this is not a very long blog. better luck next weekend!

Oh Nora

Nora in "A Dolls house" is sneaky, two faced, and greedy.

She is sneaky in the fact that she lies to her husband Torvald throughout the entirety of the play. Nora gets money from him to pay off her debt without letting him know where the money is going. Also she goes about her life leading Torvald to think she is an honest woman although in his heart I think he know she isn't.

Two faced is another adjective to describe Nora. She acts like she loves Torvald yet she lies to him straight faced. She lies to him about stupid things such as her buying macaroons at the store. Him touching her lips and tasting his finger implies that he knows she lies to him.

Nora is greedy. In the first act she is constantly talking about money. Rather than a thoughtful gift from Torvald for Christmas she just wants money. When he agrees to give her money she asks for more. Torvald mentions that he doesn't like giving her money because she just spends it without hesitation.

As the play continues her character develops more in the sense that you see why Nora acts like this. She is keeping a secret from her husband and doesn't want him to find out. He is the man in the house and I think he tries to get this point across when he calls her pet names like his "little squirrel".

The relationship between Torvald and Nora is hardly a relationship at all. In my opinion the entire relationship is a lie. He doesn't trust her and he has every right to feel this way. I feel that a big part of the relationship is trust, without it there isn't love nor a healthy balance of communication.

Spring Breaaaak

It has beeen far too long since I have posted a blog. Which is a little unfortuate considering my grade depends on it.

Spring break was like two weeks ago but it was very eventful.

^I had my beach house of wrightsville beach the entire week :-) OCEAN FRONT.

I loved my life and all my friends that stayed with me. I spent entirely too much money though. I was out almost every night and came to a total of $200 over spring break ( and the sad thing was I stayed intown). I have no idea what else to talk about. Im going to third eye blind on Friday I guess that's pretty exciting! I also move into the sorority suite in a few weeks with lovely ladies!

It's Chilly

Not really understanding why its hot one day and cold the next. Spring break is right around the corner, so close I can actually see it. I really hope that it's a nice week of warm weather and good friends. Hopefully it doesn't stay this cold for too long. I love how I have a lot of work to do over spring break-- doesn't make sense because it's suppose to be a "break" also known as don't think about school.

A lot of my friends are going out of town but i'll be here in good oleee wilmy.

I drank so much coffee today to keep me warm-- but it was unsuccessful. So now I'm going to get in bed and not come out until im warmmm.
